Mandy’s Prayer
Sixth-grader Mandy wrote this prayer recently, and it’s become a rallying cry during this 40-day fast. I recorded her reciting it after one of our prayer meetings.
“My prayer for this nation is that we stop closing our eyes, we stop listening to the lies, we stop holding the knife and taking the children’s lives, we stop rebelling against authority and stop going with the majority, and begin to pray and not wait for another day.
I pray we start standing against the wrong, no matter how long. I pray we start making a vow and listening to it now. I pray we prepare for war and take back what Satan tore. I pray we remarry the Lord and stop looking like we’re bored. I pray we don’t fade because we’re what God made.
From generation to generation we’ve been waiting to hear You say, ‘This is the generation that will change the end of the day.’ So God, rip impurity out of the heart of this nation, and bring us back to full restoration.”
